長(zhǎng)毛兔喜食蔬果，有夜間進(jìn)食的習(xí)慣，平時(shí)需要少量喂水，若喂水太多會(huì)造成兔子患病，為了更好的吸收食物中的營(yíng)養(yǎng)，長(zhǎng)毛兔會(huì)吃自己的糞便，主人不需要制止。長(zhǎng)毛兔喜歡安靜干凈的生活環(huán)境，要及時(shí)清掃兔籠，并保持環(huán)境干燥安靜，還要注意給它祛暑防寒。

飼養(yǎng)長(zhǎng)毛兔，需要給它準(zhǔn)備一個(gè)合適的兔籠，要每天清掃兔籠，確保兔籠里清潔干燥，太過(guò)濕漉的環(huán)境會(huì)影響長(zhǎng)毛兔的健康，長(zhǎng)毛兔怕熱懼寒，夏季溫度較高時(shí)，要在兔籠中為長(zhǎng)毛兔準(zhǔn)備可以降溫的電扇等設(shè)備，冬季寒冷時(shí)，用舊衣物或是被子等圍住兔籠周?chē)?，為其保溫，如果可以的話，在兔籠中安裝一個(gè)可供兔子取暖的燈泡，但是要注意電線不能讓長(zhǎng)毛兔咬到。
