長毛兔的養(yǎng)殖離不開兔籠，兔籠是兔生活的重要場所，其采食、飲水、運動、休息、排泄和繁衍等都在籠內(nèi)停止。因而，兔籠的建造必需合適長毛兔的生理特性，到達造價低，經(jīng)久耐用，管理便當?shù)恼埱蟆?/div>

（1）兔籠的規(guī)格依據(jù)家兔不同種類類型，普通每只兔的籠位面積0.5左右，大型兔、產(chǎn)仔母兔、種公兔的籠面積稍大一些。以養(yǎng)獺兔為例，普通養(yǎng)種兔的兔籠的規(guī)格為：寬×深×高=60厘米×50厘米×40厘米，養(yǎng)商品獺兔的兔籠規(guī)格為寬×深×高=90厘米×55厘米×40厘米。普通養(yǎng)種獺兔的籠位面積不宜低于0.3。也可依據(jù)養(yǎng)殖戶的條件作恰當調(diào)整。兔籠在構(gòu)造上請求防獸害、鼠害，防兔啃咬，操作便當，利于防疫衛(wèi)生。視養(yǎng)殖戶條件，可采用磚、石、木、竹及金屬資料修建，但是要做到籠內(nèi)上、下、左、右、前、后六面的潤滑，既防止掛傷兔，又有利于清潔衛(wèi)生。用木材制造，內(nèi)側(cè)要刨潤滑；竹片竹青向內(nèi)，竹節(jié)削平，粗細分歧；磚砌應(yīng)用水泥抹面涂光：金屬外表應(yīng)涂油漆或鍍鋅或筑塑，以防塵銹。

（2）籠門普通開在兔籠的前面，采用單開式籠門?？蛇x用鍍鋅鋼網(wǎng)或鍍鋅鐵絲或用鋼絲壓型成籠門后，鍍鋅或筑塑。

（4）承糞板裝置在兔籠底板下部，承接兔的糞尿，兼作下層兔籠的頂板。請求承糞板平整潤滑、不漏水、不積糞尿，選用1.5厘米厚的水泥板或0.5厘米厚的石棉水泥板或塑料板。裝置承糞板時應(yīng)由前向后傾斜呈15～17度，前面伸出籠外3～5厘米，后面伸出5～7厘米，接入排糞溝，使一切糞尿都能由板面直接流入糞尿溝。
(4) The fecal plate device is at the lower part of the bottom plate of the rabbit cage, which receives the feces and urine of the rabbit and serves as the roof of the lower cage. （5）兔籠普通分為活動式或固定式兩種，活動式多為單層，少數(shù)為雙層和多層；固定式多為雙層或三層。
